Sarah Chandy is a photographer and journalist based in London. In her photography she works on a range of long form projects that explore representations of women, identity, community and self.
Her 20 year career in journalism includes a 10 year span in South India, where she published investigations into health and environmental issues for The Hindu Newspaper Group, 5 years reporting on emerging science in the Arab world for Nature Middle East and 5 years broadcasting on advances in life sciences for Springer Nature in London,
She returned to her passion by training at the London Institute of Photography (LIoP) and subsequently began a Masters in Photojournalism and Documentary Photography at the London College of Communication, which will complete this year.
Current projects include a UK series exposing the double load for working women with families, an Indian series examining of the role of collective memory, photography and archive in identity through my own family history.

Sarah has an MA in Investigative Journalism from City University London, and a degree in History from the University of Cambridge. She trained at the London Institute of Photography (LIoP). She is completing an MA Photojournalism and Documentary Photography degree at the London College of Communication, University of the Arts, London.
